Vernon Acting Method
Specialist film acting course in Manchester
Acting classes are once a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays
7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Specialist classes are limited to a maximum of 8 actors (usually less).
Small compared to other acting courses (which can have over 15 people).
This means you get plenty of time to be seen and given direction.
Each week of study builds with scenes and direction to get the best out of;
script breakdown, character study, use of voice, audition technique,
body language, and real world on-set acting techniques!
YOU WILL BE ON CAMERA EVERY WEEK
(Unless the class has a rare special workshop, i.e., repetition exercise, cold reading)
You'll usually receive your monologue or duologue 5 to 6 days before class night.
Actors are welcome to return term after term (many do).

1/ Class usually commences with practical theory about subjects such as; different styles of screen acting,
script breakdown, body language, production terminology, help with CV's, and useful on set tips.
2/ You rehearse the script (usually received 5 days before).
3/ Valuable personal time in front of me to observe your scene for notes and redirection.
4/ You get time to rehearse the scene again, then it is filmed on video.
5/ The group watches all the scenes - which are critiqued.
